Tops Awards in Lanarkshire
Safescape® has won the Scottish Innovation John
Logie Baird Awards for Innovation in the Business Category
in Lanarkshire.
The competition is judged on Originality, Market Potential,
Market Research, Development Stage and Entrepreneurial
Potential.
Avril McNeill, Director of Alert Safety Technologies,
the company behind the idea, said, "We always knew
this was a good idea with lots of potential. Winning
the Award confirms this. Hopefully this will be the
first of many."
Safescape® is an emergency exit system for trains
and buses. Emergency escape is made much easier, simpler
and safer for passengers caught up in an evacuation
situation.
